Daily Hot Air Balloon Flights in McKinney/Allen, TX area

Rohr Balloons shared champagne, private, and engagement flights launch from our home field in McKinney, Texas, with the exact launch site chosen each day based on wind. Guests regularly travel in from across the region for a sunrise or sunset flight — if you're coming from outside the McKinney area, please confirm your flight before commencing travel. Your pilot sends the latest weather and meet-up details by text and email 2-24 hours before flight time, depending on weather. We do not have a brick-and-mortar business location — all communications, besides the flight meet-up, are handled by phone, text, or email.

Where we meet: we plan to meet at the Starbucks at 1975 Central Expressway N Frontage Rd, Unit 100, Allen, TX 75013 — but always check your flight confirmation: your pilot confirms the exact meeting spot before each flight, and it can shift slightly with wind direction. It is always in the Allen/McKinney area. More about where we meet

Travel questions

What event planners ask about our coverage.

Rohr Balloons answers the travel questions event planners ask most about bringing a tethered hot air balloon to venues across Texas and the Central U.S.

Do you charge for travel?
Yes — travel is billed separately from the tether package, and the amount depends on your venue's location. Your quote spells out both numbers up front: the package price and the travel cost. No surprises.
How far will you travel for an event?
We regularly serve events across Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and North Louisiana — and Rohr Balloons has flown and traveled all over the United States for the right event.
Can we book a passenger flight in our city?
Passenger flights — shared, private, and engagement — fly only from our McKinney/Allen home field; everyone comes to us, and your pilot confirms the exact meeting spot before each flight. If you want a balloon at your location, a tethered event is the traveling option.
How far in advance should we schedule a tethered event?
As early as you can — popular festival and holiday dates fill first, and major holidays (like the 4th of July) carry a 50% premium. A 10% non-refundable administrative fee schedules your date, and special events require at least one week's notice for voluntary changes. Not sure yet? Call 214-733-9915 to check availability and talk through the details of your event.
